It’s not hard to attract butterflies in sunny Miami as it is, but if gardeners and homeowners would like an extra burst of butterfly-attracting color in their yards, there are many varieties of flowers to choose from. Tampa Vervain is a popular choice that is known to attract butterflies. Unfortunately, the flowers are becoming endangered in the wild, and may not be as widely available to growers.
A plant that is easy to grow and popular with butterflies is the Bahama Cassia, which is bright yellow and attractive to many different forms of wildlife. Black-eyed Susans, also gorgeous yellow flowers, are hardy and require minimal care, making them a perfect addition to any yard—but especially one where butterflies roam.
